How To Get Ready For Your Store's Opening Day

Posted on: 19 August 2018

If you are starting your own business, then you may feel really excited and a little bit ambivalent about getting things started. To really introduce your company to the world with a bang, you should throw a party in celebration of your opening day and invite local bloggers and newspapers to come to check it out. Remember that the more publicity your business gets during its first couple of days or weeks, the more likely it is to succeed in the long run. But other than having your product and merchandise ready, how can you ensure that your store is ready for opening day? Read on to learn more.

Hire a Cleaning Company

Make sure that your store is as clean as possible by hiring a commercial cleaning company. A commercial cleaning company will come out to your store to clean the floors, the countertops, the cash wrap, the walls, the light fixtures, the bathroom, the windows, and anything else that you need to have cleaned. Remember that having a clean store is a great way for you to make a really good impression from the get-go. If your store's opening is going to be several days long, consider hiring the commercial cleaning company for several consecutive days.

Hire a Caterer

Nothing will attract new customers into your new store quite like food. And because you don't want your merchandise to get ruined by people spilling food everywhere, go with something small like finger food. Trendy finger foods right now include things like fries, cranberry crostinis, and pulled pork sliders. Make sure that instead of just having them set out on a table, that you hire some servers to serve the appetizers on trays; this will give it a more custom look and will also help keep everything contained. In addition to hiring a caterer for food, consider hiring a caterer to hand out tall glasses of white wine or champagne; both of which won't stain your merchandise if somebody spills.

Hire a DJ

Nothing will help create the mood of your grand opening party quite like hiring a DJ to come out and mix up some tunes for you. Make sure that your DJ comes with all of their sound equipment and everything ready to go so that you don't have to supply it for them.

As you can see, there are a few things that you can do to make your store's grand opening a success.
